This feedback, which I described earlier, taught me that technical excellence needs to be balanced with practical effectiveness. I addressed this by developing what I call 'constraint-first design thinking' β starting every technical discussion by understanding all the constraints before proposing solutions. I also became more comfortable with 'good enough' solutions that could be iterated on rather than perfect solutions that took too long to implement.
